WHO WE ARE
ACE2 Lab interests revolve around environmental science (contaminant fate and transport) and engineering (development of novel catalysts and their use for advanced water treatment processes), mineralogy (mineral transformation), and geo-biochemistry (interactions between microbes and Fe-containing minerals).
More specifically he interests in spectroscopic identification of interfacial changes in mineral phases and investigation of contaminant transformations (i.e., hydrocarbon) at mineral surface. His current works entail expanding my research into
1) investigating the complex interaction among nanoscale Fe-containing minerals, radioactive nuclides, and natural organic matter by advanced spectroscopy and
2) energy/resource recovery from environmental pollutants by novel nano-metal catalysts.
As part of conducting this research, I am interested in pursuing opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration.
